WHO'S BEHIND MILADAY?
Miladay Jewels was founded in 1966 by enterprising couple Mila and Ting Dayrit. Today, the family’s second and third generations seamlessly collaborate to continue the family legacy.
HOW DID MILADAY START?
Miladay Jewels was conceived out of the love between Mila and Ting Dayrit. In the early '60s, Ting returned from Japan bearing a precious gift of loose pearls as"pasalubong" for Mila. It was from this thoughtful gesture that the first Miladay piece was crafted and the business began.
WHAT DOES MILADAY MEAN?
In 1969, Ting moved their operations to a real store at Angela Arcade in Makati Commercial Center and named it Miladay which meant Mila’s Day or “Araw ni Mila.” He loved her so much he created a day for her. Miladay is also a portmanteau for Milagros Dayrit.
