A Father’s Legacy: Mark Dayrit and a Commitment to a Greener Future
A father's legacy is built on more than cherished memories. They pass on values that can lead a new generation. Through the principles they teach and the examples they set, fathers shape lives with love, wisdom, and strength, leaving a lasting influence that extends far beyond childhood.
For Mark Dayrit, the only son of Miladay’s second generation, his childhood and values were shaped by his father, Papa Ting, whose generosity and hard work left a lasting influence on him. Beyond the workplace, Mark carries these values through his love for plants and environmental stewardship, believing growth should always create something meaningful for future generations.
In 2022, under Miladay Foundation’s initiatives, Mark led a reforestation project at Bataan National Park in partnership with JCI Manileña and her daughters, Alexandra and Samantha Dayrit. Through the Adopt A Forest project, 250 hectares of land were reforested with 125,000 native seedlings. Together with fellow volunteers, they participated in supporting conservation efforts, and contributing to one of the country’s most significant natural landscapes.

For Mark, this effort reflected values that were first instilled by his own father, Papa Ting. He witnessed first hand his father’s generosity, unwavering work ethic and deep commitment to family. Today, these same principles continue to guide him in every role he embraces— as a father, an advocate for environmental stewardship and a leader dedicated to making a lasting difference in the lives of others.
More than just planting seedlings, this initiative was an opportunity to show the importance of environmental responsibility, civic engagement, and caring for something greater than themselves. By working alongside his daughters, he exemplified how meaningful values are cultivated not only at home but through shared experiences that inspire a lasting change.

As part of Miladay Foundation— one of Miladay’s advocacies— this reforestation project serves as a reminder that caring for the environment is a collective responsibility that lasting change often begins with families. Through this effort, Mark teaches his children that just as trees are planted to benefit future generations, lessons that we pass on have the power to take root, grow and leave a lasting legacy.
We honor Mark Dayrit for leading by example and embodying true leadership. One defined not only by professional excellence, but also by the values nurtured at home and the enduring legacy left for future generations.
