A Look Inside “A Legacy of Trust” Miladay’s 60th Anniversary Coffee Table Book

A Look Inside “A Legacy of Trust” Miladay’s 60th Anniversary Coffee Table Book

What does it take to build a legacy that lasts?

For Miladay, the answer can be found in the people, memories, relationships, and values behind six decades of fine jewelry.

To mark its 60th anniversary, Miladay created A Legacy of Trust, its first coffee table book and a deeply personal record of the journey that began in 1966. A year in the making, the book brings together family photographs, archival images, interviews, personal memories, and stories from the generations who helped shape Miladay.

More than a history of a jewelry house, A Legacy of Trust is a look at the heart behind it.

Six Decades, Told Through Five Chapters

Chapter 1: The Making of Miladay

The story starts with Mila and Ting Dayrit, whose shared dream grew from a garage workshop in the family home into the House of Miladay. Their faith helped the family overcome a fire, a robbery, and other challenges.

After Mama Mila and Papa Ting passed away, the second generation carried on their work. The third generation later brought in new collections, stores, and ideas, while keeping the founders’ values alive.

Chapter 2: Generations of Miladay

Generations of Miladay follows the family as the business grows and evolves across generations, showing how each generation has contributed to the story while carrying forward the values of those who came before.

Their stories show how each generation of the Dayrit family added to the Miladay legacy through hard work, generosity, and strong relationships.

Jaqui Dayrit remembers the discipline and sacrifices her parents made to build the company, while Michelle Dayrit-Soliven sees Miladay as a family business that began as a gift of love. Mark Dayrit reflects on preserving the brand’s spirit through its jewelry and the way it cares for clients and employees.

Yvonne Dayrit-Romualdez says, “Miladay may be a family business, but to us, it has always been more family than business.” Christine Dayrit also reflects on the family values that continue to shape Miladay.

Members of the third generation, including Nikki Buensalido, Christel Constantino, Vincent Soliven, Alexandra Dayrit, Samantha Dayrit, Matthew Dayrit, Carin Romualdez, and Cito Romualdez, share how the founders’ example continues to guide them. Their reflections show a shared responsibility to preserve Miladay’s values while bringing new ideas to the family business.

Chapter 3: The Heart of Miladay

The Heart of Miladay brings together the memories and experiences of employees, families, clients, partners, and friends who have been part of the journey, some for a few moments, others for decades. Their stories reflect the relationships that have helped shape Miladay into what it is today.

Margie joined Miladay in 1976 and has now spent 50 years with the company. She met her husband, Boy, through Miladay, and Mama Mila and Papa Ting became their wedding sponsors. Cathy, who joined in 1993, still follows Mama Mila’s advice to use slower periods to prepare, polish, and learn.

Other employees played key roles in helping Miladay grow and modernize. Lalaine moved the company from paper ledgers to digital records. Joel shared his skills in developing its business and human resources systems, while Ren strengthened quality standards at the Production House.

Angie, Pinky, Melone, Mike, Rose, Ysay, and other longtime employees also share how Miladay became a place for both professional and personal growth. Their stories show a workplace built on care, responsibility, and lasting relationships.

Here, we also name the “Six Loves of Miladay” that reflect the Dayrit family’s commitment to service, giving back through various institutions. They include the Miladay Foundation, Healing Servants Foundation, Carewell Community, Verbum Dei, Assumption, and Ephesus House.

Through these organizations, Miladay is able to support causes such as education, disaster relief, environmental programs, cancer patients, faith formation, and places for prayer and healing. These efforts show how the company’s values go beyond jewelry.

Chapter 4: The Artistry of Miladay

The fourth chapter explores the craftsmanship behind the jewelry, from the hands that bring designs to life, to the artistry that has continued to evolve over six decades.

The chapter offers a closer look at the Miladay Production House and its commitment to quality, as well as the brand’s bespoke service, where a personal idea, a special occasion, or a meaningful story can become a one-of-a-kind creation. It also introduces Reimagined by Miladay, where heirloom jewelry can be given new life through thoughtful design, preserving what makes each piece meaningful while creating something made for today.

Chapter 5: The Promise of Miladay

The final chapter shows how a new generation will carry trust, craftsmanship, and personal service into Miladay’s next decade.

These reflections connect the founders’ beginnings with the family’s growth, the work of employees, and the responsibilities of the next generation. They present the anniversary as another step in Miladay’s journey, not an ending.

More Than a Book

A Legacy of Trust is a record of 60 years, but it is also a reminder that a legacy is never built by one person alone.

It lives in the photographs carefully kept for decades. In the stories passed from grandparents to grandchildren. In the employees who have spent years growing alongside the company. In the clients who have trusted Miladay with some of their most meaningful occasions. And in the jewelry that continues to become part of new stories.

Six decades later, the story continues.

And now, for the first time, so much of that story can be held in one place.

A book about where Miladay came from, the people who shaped it, and the values that will carry it into the next generation.
