Anton Abalos & Jana Francisco: The Story Behind a Bespoke Engagement Ring

For Anton Abalos, that place has always been Miladay. Long before the thought of an engagement ring ever entered the picture, Miladay was already part of his life. His family was already entrusting their jewelry needs with Miladay ever since he was young. So when the time came for Anton to propose to his then girlfriend, Jana Francisco, Anton knew exactly where to go. The answer was already familiar.
Jana was a woman with a particular eye. She had style and attention to detail. She was the kind of woman who knew exactly what she loved and why she loved it. Because of this, Anton knew she deserved something special. He decided to co-create a bespoke piece with Miladay that could only ever belong to Jana.
Design Inspiration
Anton spent time looking at many rings. But the more he searched, the more he realized that what he was looking for had to feel personal.
When he came across the Toi et Moi design, it resonated with him. Two stones set beside each other, each one distinct, together carrying the meaning of "you and I." For Anton, it said what he had been trying to find words for.
Personalized Concept
Once he had the design, he thought about Jana.
Red has always been her color. The one she loves most, the one she wears best. So Anton made the decision to use rubies as the center stone. A personal choice that shaped the ring's meaning— her forever piece.
Collaborative Design
Anton brought that vision to Kuya Boy, an artisan with decades of craftsmanship who understands that every detail carries a reason. Anton sat down with him, and together they worked through every detail, adjusting and refining, until what started as an inspiration became a final sketch. From that sketch, the ring was crafted.
