Mama Mila was a very kind, gracious, and gentle soul, an exceedingly generous, thoughtful, and loving mother who anticipated all our needs. I still miss her daily morning and evening calls. Oh, how we worked, traveled, danced, sang, and enjoyed life together, even dressed in identical outfits. It was so much fun! She always reminded me to look good, keep my back straight, and my feet too. I can still hear her saying, “Don't forget to wear sunscreen, lipstick, and take your vitamins! ”. Serving her was such a joy because she showed such great appreciation. She wrote me the sweetest thank-you notes, gifted me with lovely wardrobes, and surprised me by furnishing my entire flat. One thing I remember most about her was how she proudly called her children her five jewels. Her morning prayer was the Daily Offering, where she lifted up everything, whether joys, pains, trials, or sufferings, to our Lord. She didn't live very long, but throughout her life, she was a role model who showed us how the values of hard work, kindness, patience, forgiveness, perseverance, and love can make a family shine!
